Financial Literacy and Career Development Programs for Young Women

FRNDS offers three free programs for first-generation women of color to build financial confidence, explore college and career options, and step into their future with clarity and support.
Financial Freedom Program
The Financial Freedom Program is a 6-week hybrid experience designed for high school juniors, seniors, and first-generation college students.
FFP combines on-demand financial education with live virtual workshops led by finance professionals. Participants learn essential money skills like budgeting, saving, credit, and goal setting—while building confidence and a clear plan for their future.
At the end of the program, students submit a personalized FRNDS Financial Portfolio and pitch their plan for a chance to receive seed funding to jumpstart their financial journey.
Beyond Program
The Beyond Program supports high school seniors from the start of their final year through college acceptance and decision-making.
Running from September through the spring, Beyond offers step-by-step college and career guidance through workshops, resources, and 1:1 support. Students receive help with FAFSA, scholarship applications, essays, and understanding post-graduation options, whether that’s college, trade school, or a different path.
The program is designed to reduce overwhelm and increase confidence, so students can make informed decisions about what’s next.
Level Up Program
The Level Up Program helps high school seniors, college students, and early-career young women build the skills and confidence to succeed professionally.
Through resume workshops, mock interviews, LinkedIn support, and mentorship from working professionals, participants learn how to present themselves, communicate effectively, and navigate early career opportunities.
Whether students are applying for jobs, internships, or just getting ready for what’s next, Level Up ensures they’re not only prepared, but ready to stand out.
