Our History

2020

FRNDS launched its first program during the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting 5 students through virtual mentorship and academic check-ins. Students who raised their GPA and improved participation earned a cash reward.

FRNDS expanded to serve 35 students through virtual financial literacy workshops focused on budgeting, saving, and setting goals. The year ended with all of our seniors getting accepted in to their first choice colleges.

2022

FRNDS introduced its three pathway models—Financial Freedom, Beyond, and Level Up—reaching 530 students through a mix of school partnerships, mentor sessions, and digital resources.

Students who completed their pathways received certificates of achievement and seed funding to invest in their financial portfolios.
